I haven't made Burda 6773 but it looks like a great little jacket pattern. I see Anne Whalley has very high praise for it. All fabric I have purchased from Knitwit has been great quality. I think any polyester based fabric would be too hot and sticky for Cairns though. I would recommend you use natural fibres like a nice linen. Tessuti have a great range of linens in their online store. I think you can get a linen knit, but I have never used one before, so can't offer any advice. Good luck.Sew, Jean Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02820699938403952341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591480456197557629.post-78063907866714837652019-06-11T10:01:36.859+10:002019-06-11T10:01:36.859+10:00Hello from Cairns! My current TNT pattern is the Tessuti Eva dress, which I have made (too many times) in bright tropical batiks. I am looking for a little jacket pattern to complement the dress which is lightweight and easy care given the sultry climate in these parts - possibly Burda 6773. I would appreciate your advice on a suitable stretch fabric. I note you have used a polyester-based fabric from Knitwit - does the fabric eventually pill? Would it be too hot and sticky for this climate?
