I have recently renewed my interest in sewing and I seem to spend all my spare time doing just that. I have found it to be a wonderful creative outlet and I am enjoying every minute of it. I decided to start my own blog after getting inspired by all the other great sewing blogs out there in the blogosphere. Hopefully, I too can be a worthy contributor to this friendly community.

This dress, Vogue 8742 has earned me lots of compliments. I used a panne stretch velvet in a royal blue which is definitely a colour that suits me. I love the flattering lines of the dress and it is very comfy to wear.
McCalls 6552 has been a real favourite. I always receive lovely compliments every time I wear this dress.
Here is a shot of the bodice. I wear a camisole underneath because it has a very plunging neckline. I like the effect of the contrasting camisole.
New Look 6071 was a much worn pattern over the summer. I have made this one three times...sleeveless, long sleeves and this one with short sleeves, which is my favourite. I just love this pattern. It is so flattering to wear and it is an easy sew as well. I'm sure I will be making some more of these in the future.
I have been a bit slack of late with posting reviews on Pattern Review. I think my last one was back in February. However, I have been doing lots of sewing. Just need to take some time to photograph my makes. I guess, now I have got my blog up and running, it should keep me motivated and accountable. Looking forward to sharing lots more sewing over the next few weeks.
